I cant for the life of me figure out what is going on here.  It has to be either something so simple that was overlooked or the sim is totally bunk!  Unfortunately, the test only says "Incorrect IP address or interface state or passwords" (on both routers)

Cables are definitely correct.

Someone please help, I'm taking the test tomorrow!

thx

Here is my procedure:

login to left router:

conf t
line con 0
password consolepw
login

line vty 0 4
password telnetpw
login

exit

enable secret privpw

int fa0/0
ip address 192.168.142.81 255.255.255.240
no shut

int fa0/1
ip address 192.168.142.30 255.255.255.240
no shut

ctrl^z

copy run start
[ok]

exit

login to right router:

conf t
line con 0
password consolepw
login

line vty 0 4
password telnetpw
login

exit

enable secret privpw

int s0/1
ip address 192.168.142.161 255.255.255.240
no shut

int fa0/0
ip address 192.168.142.78 255.255.255.240
no shut

ctrl^z

copy run start
[ok]

exit

I agree to my surprise I have yet found the correct sequence to answer this question.  I am starting to think it flawed.  Shocked

I had this problem as well.

The problem is the "enable secret privpw".  It's not expecting that you to be using proper security, just using "enable password privpw" is what it's expecting.

I was also convinced that there was something wrong with this Simulation.

I agree with Soulscode use enable password instead of enable secret.

This resolved it for me

I also agree with the last response, I actually did that sim today, so it is very recent in my mind, good luck tomorrow...
