QID AN050 - mmalone4 - 04-28-2020

I am having a hard time understanding how they came up with the answer of 0 on this QID.  Isn't the host in (172.16.0.202) in the 172.16.0.128/25 subnet?  And if that is the case, shouldn't the answer be 38443 since that is the metric of the network with the longest prefix match?  Or am I totally missing something here?

I agree!

RE: QID AN050 - tjohnson - 07-30-2020

you are looking at it wrong... in the read out [1/0] the administrative distance is 1 and the metric is 0
S* 0.0.0.0/0 [1/0] via ....
what ever is in that box will be the metric like its given...

Look at the explanation for this question.... within the explanation, it wrongly states that there is only one subnet that fits which is false.

that maybe correct... in QID AXD12 (drag and drop) you will see a similar question. just remember in the braces [1/0]
the 1 is the administrative distance
the 0 is the metric
