QID:NA310 - feasable distance vs. advertised distance - joshuad31 - 01-15-2009

Hello,

I am 100% sure that its the feasable distance which is installed into the routing table and not the advertised distance.  Please follow the link to Lammle's book on the CCNA where he explains this matter.  You have the advertised distance as being installed into the routing table which is incorrect.

Ok I looked more closely at the question and now I realized why I missed it

"based on the output from RT1 what metric will RT2 install in its routing table"

It was a little bit confusing because the exhibit shows "routerA" and I wasn't sure if "routerA" was the output from RT1's eigrp topology or RT2's eigrp topology.

But I understand now.  Thats RT1s output but the advertised distance is the feasable distance from RT2s point of view which it has installed into its routing table.
