Could you please reference the source for this answer.

I have tested this and it does work, however I just need to confirm the theory behind it.

Your saying when once access port in a VLAN sends traffic to another access port in the same VLAN, the traffic is not tagged with a VLAN ID?

Where does the tagging occur? if it is at the trunk, then does the trunk have the intelligence to know that the frame came from that port which is belongs to this VLAN and therefore tags it at the trunk?
