Are the testlets, simlets, simulations etc scored all or nothing or do you get partial credit for the correct answers you give?

  When/How are tunnel interfaces used?
Posted by: hikerguy - 09-16-2011, 05:35 PM - Forum: Answer this question - Replies (2)

I'm having some difficulty understanding how a tunnel interface is used. I get the basic config, but what traffic is sent across the tunnel?

Thanks

Tom

  Passed 642-902
Posted by: snwboardn - 09-10-2011, 01:50 PM - Forum: CCNP ENARSI 300-410 Forum - Replies (1)

I won't post all of my details but I did pass. The first 6 questions I had not seen before but they were easy enough to rule out at least to 2 possible right answers. Make sure to go through the labs on here!!! I had Lab 4, Lab 6 and Lab 7. Be careful they have 2 different types of labs, some are a full lab which doesn't allow you to copy run start, and they just want you to push next when you are done, and then there were smaller mini-lab environments where you could, I am not sure if not doing a copy run start counts against you but I would suspect that it would be in your best interest to go ahead and try anyhow.

I just went through each section here on How2pass and did all the questions until I could do all of them with at least 80%... I did fine in the test. Thanks How2pass, I am even taking a college class for this but you guys have an invaluable tool here, and I tell everyone I take classes with to check it out when they are ready to certify.

Passed NEW Route Exam 642-902 on 09-07-2011
Posted by: alex - 09-07-2011, 06:19 PM - Forum: CCNP ENARSI 300-410 Forum - No Replies

Most of the questions from how2pass, perhaps 4 or 5 new questions that are not from how2pass.
Labs 3 5 6 7

Score  860

100 eigrp
89  ospf
100  ebgp
100  ipv8
25  redistribution
33  layer 3 path control

Overall if you memorized all the questions from how2pass and studied labs 1-5 WHICH ARE EASY you can sacrifice labs 6 and 7 on the exam and still get nice score.  Since they just started this exam, they did not have lot of time to add new questions to it, so good time to take it would be right now 09-07-2011 before they add new questions.  The key to passing this exam is memorizing all the how2pass answers and memorizing labs 1-5.  Write out labs with a pen or open a notepad and type in commands from memory.

Are there plans in the works for adding interactive versions of hands-on labs 4-7?

  Passed my ICND2 Yesterday!
Posted by: agutthon777 - 08-25-2011, 03:42 PM - Forum: Exam Experience - No Replies

It was kind of rough.. had 43 question and a few simlets and I think 1 actual sim...  But I got through it. How2pass was really good.. the only issue was that none of the simulation on how2pass was on the exam. Alot of the simlets was... and most of the multiple choice question was there was pretty easy...

  Passed ICND1 Today!!! Whoo Hoo!
Posted by: Slider55 - 08-01-2011, 10:07 PM - Forum: Exam Experience - No Replies

Ok,

Well I passed with a score of 950 out of 1000, had to have an 804 to pass.  There were 50 questions on my test and 1.5 hours to take it.

Advise: Use the How2Pass testing to check where your weak areas are.  I use this method a couple of weeks and was still not feeling 100%. Was only getting 85% on the final tests using 60 questions. I felt I needed 90's or better.  Use your time during the tutorial to write down a subnet table for quick reference, you know like multiples of 4,8,16,32, all the way to 256.  Every second counts, this will help save you time to spend on more difficult questions and possibly save you at the end of the test, especially if you end up with 60 questions. Anyway there is a lot to know and this helps you with zeroing in on weak spots.

  Passed ICND 2 yesterday!
Posted by: ninjagaiden78 - 07-07-2011, 03:37 PM - Forum: Exam Experience - Replies (1)

Hey all,

I passed the ICND 2 yesterday and it was tough! Different from ICND 1 in the sense of there were quite a few scenario questions that make you think. How 2 Pass was a great help, but you also need to know the theory behind the questions. There are three things I would suggest when preparing for the exam. First, I suggest reading the ICND 2 book by Todd Lamle because that would give you a great foundation. Secondly, use How 2 Pass. This is a great program, but you will not pass the test on this alone. Finally, study, study, and then study. And when you are tired of studying, study some more. Seriously, I don't think I have studied so much in my life. But it is worth it. Good luck to you all. Everyone on this forum is mad supportive and is a big help.
