I passed ICND2 with with a score of 930 the help of Chris Bryant and ICND1 and ICND2 by Wendel Odems Cisco Library. But, one of the most important parts of my studies was using How2pass!!! Thank you very much Guy's at How2pass your Q&A really helps with bring all the concepts together in clear and comprehensive manner. Thanks again how2pass.

Tested on the ICND 1 today and passed with 900. Passing score was 804. I have absolutely no experience and started studying about 3 months ago. I read the ICND1 book by Wendell Odom and used How2Pass for about a month. I have a full time job so I could only study an hour or so after work and a couple hours a day on the weekends.
The test interface is identical to how2pass so I was very comfortable right out of the gate. The questions that are on the test are the same type that are used in these practice exams. If you can take the practice tests and pass consistently with a 90% or better you should have no problem with the real test. I highly recommend How2Pass to anyone who is on the fence about it. Best study guide I could have found.
There was no survey before the test regarding my experience level.
Definitely using How2Pass for the ICND2 next. Thanks for the help!!

It was a 50 question test. I took my time, read each question twice, and read all of the answers before selecting the best answer. I scored 962 and had 30 minutes to spare.
They gave me a 8.5" x 14" board and a dry erase marker. I wrote down the subnet table in decimal and slash notation. I did this while the computer was giving me a 17 minutes demonstration on how to take the test. It's the same format used by How2Pass so I went through that quickly.
There were two questions regarding the "setup" command at the privileged exec prompt. There are no questions regarding "setup" on the How2Pass practice questions. I looked up the command later and found out that if you type this command, it takes you to setup mode. When you're finished in setup mode, click CTRL-C to abort your changes or type exit when you're finished. It looks like it will merge these changes with your running-config.
There was a simulation on the test just like the one in the How2Pass practice test (QID:S24). The simulation on How2Pass has an interface that is administratively down. On the test, both the WAN and LAN interfaces were fully configured and enabled (up/up). I spent about 15 minutes going over and over the show interfaces output and reading all possible answers. All other interfaces were not configured and shutdown. The answers were either to configure an IP address for an interface or performing a no shutdown on the port. I decided I was wasting too much time on this question and used an educated guess.

Hello,
on the ACL sim why is the ACL applied to the fa0/0 interface outbound and not the fa0/1 inbound. I was of the belief that extended acls were applied as close to the source as possible.
Thank you
