Posted by: kelvinwgr - 12-13-2010, 03:07 PM - Forum: General - Replies (2)

Hi can someone explain to me in lag man term what is the difference between a root port, root switch, designated port and designated switch.

Sometimes I also come across root bridge. I am confused over all these. Can somebody enlighten me? Thanks

  QID: NA347 - Explanation correct??

Is there a problem with this question?

The way I see it the mask 255.255.255.192 would yield 4 subnets; the mask 255.255.255.128 would provide 2 subnets. The explanation says that it would be 1022 and 510 subnets respectively.

Routing is definitely not a strength of mine; I've calculated the FD and AD for this question a few times and I have only come up with two paths A D E H and A F E H; am I missing something in why the answer is 3?

Thanks,
Jen

Question on Extended ACL. Pls help
Posted by: kelvinwgr - 11-24-2010, 02:11 PM - Forum: Answer this question - Replies (2)

Hi Guys,

Appreciate if somebody can explain to me on the following. I don't quite understand the command lines below:

Router1#show ip access-lists
extended ip access list 100
10 permit tcp 172.16.16.0 0.0.0.15 host 172.16.48.63 eq 22
20 permit tcp 172.16.16.0 0.0.0.15 eq telnet host 171.16.48.63

//What does this command do? The wildcard mask 0.0.0.15 for this case means 172.16.16.15? The first line I am still alright. However, the 2nd line, I got struck.//

and

Router1(config)#int fa0/0
Router1(config-if)#ip  access-group 100 in

//what does the ip access-group 100 in do?//

Pls help. Thanks.

Posted by: LuRCH - 11-22-2010, 09:29 PM - Forum: Exam Experience - No Replies

Just wanted to say thanks to how2pass for over-preparing me for the 640-802  ;D

Nothing phased me at all during the exam all very straight forward.

Now, how about some help with the CCNP and CCNA concentrations too ?

  3rd attempt at the CCNA
Posted by: yassel22 - 11-18-2010, 11:44 PM - Forum: Exam Experience - Replies (2)

hail all,

I have attempted the CCNA twice with 745 and 796 scores.  The material I used before was not as accurate as how2pass has been.  I believe my troubles were on the sims and some cabling questions along with some ipv6.  I have been doing how2pass for almost 2 months now and feel so confident about this next attempt.  The EIGRP, VLAN/STP and ACL sims are really right on the dot.  My next attempt is this saturday so ill be posting my results then.  WIsh me luck.

  Passed CCNA today
Posted by: sdavidson - 11-15-2010, 03:37 PM - Forum: Exam Experience - Replies (5)

Just passed my exam today - 961/1000 !

All I can say is how2pass really made the difference as alot of the exam questions were the same as the practice questions!

So thanks how2pass whoever you are.....

steve

PS- Also worth noting is that pass mark is now 825, something I wasn't aware of.
